29 June 2012 European Union Academic Programme (EUAP)
The European Commission signed a contract with HKBU to open a European Union Centre (officially: European Union Academic Programme = EUAP) on campus. The EUAP is a joint venture of HKBU, HKU, CUHK and LU, with the leadership awarded to HKBU (Department of GIS). The EUAP will be launched officially in September 2012.

19 November 2011 Summer Scholarships in Germany (2012)
Congratulations! For the coming year 2012, the DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service) awarded a total of five language scholarships to Year I students for excellent academic and language learning achievements. The scholarships will fund intensive language/culture summer courses at a German university. The 2011 recipients are: Orange Cheung, Mathias Chan, Sophia Su, Michael Leung & Neshric Timothy
