Assessment Scheme


Each completed Honours Project will be assessed by a Chief Adviser and a Second Examiner internally. The final product may be sent to an External Examiner for review. The project must be acceptable to all three examiners.

The Chief Adviser monitors the progress of the student project work on a regular basis as it is being performed. The Chief Adviser is strictly responsible for the "process" assessment. The process grade (EURO 4898) will be assigned and filed with the GIS office in the second week of semester two.

Both the Chief Adviser and the Second Examiner will assess the final Project and will contribute equal weight on it ("product assessment"/ EURO 4899).

Process and product assessment will carry equal weight (50% each) towards the final year-long grade of the Honours Project.
